What is a freelance project?

A freelance project is a work-made-for-hire done by an independent contractor or a freelancer, who is not employed by the one hiring the services. The freelance project is the equivalent of work done by a regular employee, only that there is no long term commitment and benefits given like that of an employee. The freelance project will also be paid according to what was agreed and stated on the contract signed by the client and freelancer.
