Is benefit makeup expensive

No...not the Ulta brand. I mean, I work there and I can honestly say that it's not bad stuff. The eyeshadows last for a long time throughout the day. They're very pigmented as well. They aren't more expensive than some of the other lines. The eye shadows are $7, but there is a lot of makeup in each one. Same with their lipglosses and pencils, etc. Usually you can find some Ulta stuff in clearance, too.

But if you're talking about the other brands they sell...half and half. Maybelline, CoverGirl, etc. isn't any more or less pricey than your drugstore. The prestige brands like Smashbox and TooFaced will be more expensive but that is because they are designer brands and higher quality.

You can usually find a coupon in your local Sunday paper and there are always sales going on. If what you want isn't on sale, it probably will be soon. The sales rotate.

For example, Matrix hair products were on sale buy 2 get 1 free three weeks ago, for just a week, and starting yesterday they are on sale again for buy 2 get 2 free. The sales + the coupons can get you some big savings, and if you have a rewards card, you can even get stuff for free!

Be careful with the coupons though, they aren't good on any fragrance or expensive makeup, like Bare Escentuals, Urban Decay, etc. It sucks, I know. I know.

So, no. Not expensive.
