To change the head gasket, you need to remove the valve cover, intake and exhaust manifolds, and engine head. This is not a Saturday mechanic's project.
You should have a reliable mechanic do this.
If you want to attempt this yourself, I would recommend that you purchase a CHILTON or HAYNES repair manual. It will do a good job of explaining how to work on it. They are available at many book stores and auto parts stores.
