When did mr mc manhon take over of WWE?

WWE Wrestling was initially started as a fledgling wrestling/fight promotion company by Roderick James McMahon. It started out as Capitol Wrestling and became World Wide Wrestling Federation. In the early 1980's Vincent McMahon took over the reins and renamed the company to World Wrestling Federation (WWF). In the early 2000's it got renamed to WWE to avoid confusion with the wildlife conservation group.
