Almost every region in India has sheep that are the main source of wool, however; the important breeds are Shahabadi and Chottanagpuri in Bihar and part of West Bengal, Ganjam and Balangir in Orissa, Bonpala in Sikkim and Tibetan sheep in parts of Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim.
