Adam McMullen (born June 12, 1872 in Wellsville, New York; died March 2, 1959) succeeded Charles W. Bryan as the twenty-first Governor of Nebraska, serving between January 8, 1925 and January 3, 1929. Following the end of McMullen's term as Governor, Arthur J. Weaver (born November 18, 1873 in Falls City, Nebraska; died October 17, 1945 in Falls City, Nebraska) became the twenty-second Governor of Nebraska, serving between January 3, 1929 and January 8, 1931.
