What kind of job pays well for a young woman with an AA degree and good job history?

It depends on the degree. The whole point is to become enough of an asset that employers will want to give you money. Anybody can become a dishwasher or ditch digger. Those professions will never pay much. But if someone has a skill that is unique and rare, and that skill is in high demand, the employee can expect a large paycheck.
