You will probably have to press charges to get the debt forgiven. The first thing to do is to get all of your card information changed due to fraud (you can do this for the asking) and make sure that your mail and private affairs are locked up. Most likely you will have a problem with this person realizing the "deal" you gave them and being willing to pay for their mistake.
