I broke my 5th metcarpal on right hand 5 weeks ago. Received surgery where they put a plate in my hand. Hand still swells up and painful. Is this normal?

If you are concurned you should see a doctor. If the doctors give you meds and if this still continues go to the hospital because this could be a rare but serious sidafect
