Probably. If they can develop probable cause that you would also have drugs in your home, they can get a search warrant. No! One has nothing to do with the other. The License issued to you by the state acts as a, for lack of a better Word, "promissory warrant" to search your vehicle. All States stipulate that driving is a privilege, and that telling a officer that he/she can't search your vehicle is punishable by arrest, and revocation of your "privilege to drive". On the other hand, Police CAN NOT use the evidence secured in your vehicle to search your house unless they witnessed you pulling out of your driveway and stopped you after you entered traffic. This does constitute "probable cause" but they still have to secure a warrant with their testimony to the judge before a search of the house can happen. Further, the drivers license "promissory warrant' does not cover the house, only the conveyance that is the vehicle. A lawyer fresh out of law school can blow the house search out of the water. Now, I don't condone illegal drugs, their use or sale, but the defendant has rights not to be infringed on.
