Who invented the paragraph?

I believe that two doctors actually shared credit for inventing the paragraph - Dr. Lorenzo Graph and Dr. Ermentrude Graph - as they shared a last name, they named their invention the "pair of graphs," which has since degraded into the Word "paragraph."
