Which countries are a part of US?

The United States is a sovereign nation and does not consist of other countries within it. However, it has territories that are not states, including Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands. Each of these territories has varying degrees of self-governance and representation in the U.S. federal government.
