What are the Neoclassical painting characteristics?

Neoclassical paintings have sharp outlines, reserved emotions, deliberate (often mathematical) composition, and cool colors. And the paintings usually have a moral behind it or "meaning" and it was supposed to educated or motivate or inspire the public.
