This is a very controversial issue. The answer would be almost completely based on opinion. As for the reason why a Muslim women is made to wear a veil, it is to cover her beauty in order to protect her from the evil and sinful gaze of men. It is a precautionary measure to help avoid rape, adultery and other sin. It can be stated that men are weaker in terms of self-control and for that reason, women have the right to cover themselves in order to liberate themselves and to present themselves as pure beings far superior to animals who are naked at all times and who present their bodies to the opposite gender for mating. In countries where complete human rights are allowed and nobody is discriminated against on the grounds of religion, culture or race, the veil does not stop Muslim women from any form of freedom as in these fair countries, veiled women are not refused jobs, education etc. Only in unfair countries whose systems are discriminatory against certain people are these women actually refused certain opportunities.
