Is having flat feet a sign of fetal alcohol syndrome?

Flat feet are not a definitive sign of fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS). FAS is characterized by a range of physical and developmental issues resulting from alcohol exposure in utero, including distinct facial features, growth deficiencies, and neurodevelopmental problems. While some individuals with FAS may have flat feet, this condition can occur in the general population for various reasons unrelated to FAS. Therefore, flat feet alone should not be used to diagnose fetal alcohol syndrome.
