Where is the location of the ECM in a 88 Chevy k2500?

Behind the glove compartment! 4 hex head screws gets you in there then carefully pop the two sheet metal clips down on the left side. Slide the ECM to the left and towards you slightly. Press the wire connector clips down and unplug the two sets of connectors. It's all yours now.
