What are the four fundamental purposes of corrections according to the ACA?

There are many purposes of corrections that have been stated in the ACA materials. Four major ones include the following: to develop and maintain liasons and a close working relationship in America with regional, state, and locals agencies and associations to extend and create working relationships with similar agencies and associations on an international level; to promote the professional development of the corrections' staff on every level; to conduct studies, surveys, and other such professional materials; and to work towards reducing duplication and fragmentation of effort.
