The Great Pyramid of Giza was built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of Egypt, around 2580–2560 BCE, and is attributed to the Pharaoh Khufu (also known as Cheops). Originally, it stood at approximately 146.6 meters (481 feet) tall, but today it measures about 138.8 meters (455 feet) due to the loss of the outer casing stones. This monumental structure is a testament to the architectural and engineering skills of ancient Egyptian civilization.
