How do you make a topic sentence about being kidnapped?

It depends on what you want to say about kidnapping. People are kidnapped for different reasons. You can't say everything about kidnapping in one paragraph so you need to narrow the topic down to one aspect of being kidnapped.

This paragraph would be about how people the suffering - mental, physical,- that people often suffer long after a kidnapping event is over. You should give examples if you can.
