Well, a few questions come to mind. Is this really a Sweet 16? There was a standard weight 16 ga that (with these numbers only) was made in 1929. Now if the side of your receiver actually says Sweet Sixteen, then it should have the letter S above the 76763 and that would have been made in 1957. Likewise if the letter "x" precedes the number, then it was made in 1952. Sound confusing? Probably so, but with the number 76763 and no other numbers or letters associated with it, it was made in 1929. It is a Standard Weight 16 ga, but not a lightweight gun which is the Sweet Sixteen model. Sweets were not made until 1937.
