Why would liquid come out of a males nipples?

I don't know that this question could be answered correctly without knowing the colour and consistency of the discharge. During puberty some discharge from the male nipple is not necessarily an unusual thing. In older men it could possibly be a sign of a malignant condition and should be checked by a doctor.
