Who were John McCain's parents?

John McCain's father, John S. McCain Jr., was a four star admiral in the US Navy. He was a submarine commander during WWII, the submarine Gunnell. During the Vietnam War he served as Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Pacific command from 1968-1972. His wife, John McCain's mother, was Roberta Wright. She is still alive today at the age of 99 and has appeared on TV with or for her son serveral times over his political career.
