What are the causes and effects of World War II?

Hitler rose to power as a result of his bitterness towards the Versailles Treaty at the end of the World War 1. That was the worst cause. The worst effect was the poor six million Jews who were exterminated, the bombing of the European cities and Stalin taking many countries caused the Cold War.
