Technology makes life better in various ways for those who are able to use it, but it also carries an environmental cost, and that cost will be paid in the end by everyone, including people who did not use the technology in question, and future generations to come. Of course, there are all sorts of different kinds of technology, and some are more environmentally costly than others. But we can argue that developed countries are creating global problems that will affect undeveloped countries, which is not fair to them.
