How many local government units are there in Ghana?

As of my last update, Ghana has a total of 261 local government units, which include 16 regions, 260 districts, and one metropolis (Accra). These local government units are responsible for administrative functions and local governance. The structure aims to decentralize power and enhance local development across the country.
