Deneb is the brightest star in the constellation Cygnus. It has a spectral type of A2 and is a blue-white supergiant. It has an absolute magnitude of about -7, giving it an estimated luminosity 60,000 times that of our Sun. It's the 19th brightest star in the night sky, too. It's also one of three stars that make up the asterism, The Summer Triangle. Deneb is about 54,000 - 196,000 times more luminous than our Sun.
