How does gossip affect people psychologically?

well for starters it can ruin a persons life, when people gossip its like adding mor to the story, they never tell the truth, well maybe sometimes, but most of its a lie. just put it this way they are just jelous of your life and want to make you get angry,and hopefully make you crazy, because they have nothing better to do with their lives.
