Your parents treat you like you are young because 10 isn't very old and they want to protect you. Just 8 years ago you couldn't read or write, talk in complete sentences, and were just potty trained. Today, you still have a lot to learn about the world ( yes you know a great deal, but there is things you don't know), and your parents know this. They want you to stay young and to learn and grow up to be the best possible person you can be. You will never be any younger than you are today and you will have 80 years of being an adult. Enjoy being a kid because being an adult isn't that much fun.
