Can someone tell me what an alliteration poem is?

As far as I am aware, it is a poem written around one beginning letter. The subject defines the poem. The lines use alliterations to describe the subject or the subject's actions. One line might be "Mary made many more mints," however, all Words in the line do not have to start with the same letter. Most do, though. One or two Words can break the pattern.
