What are intangible goods and services?

Intangible goods and services would be anything you can't physically touch, hold, feel. An Apple is a tangible good. Hiring someone as a consultant is an intangible service. Another example would be an electronic download (such as a song or program), which is intangible. On the other hand, a record which has the same song on it would be tangible because it is a physical object.
