In Canada, a certain amount of donations is set aside for federally convicted offenders, including child molesters, murderers and rapists. Typically these donations take the form of a Christmas "care package" which members of the Salvation Army deliver to prisoners.

Your donations may be better dispersed if you use a secular organization. Most city fire departments collect toys for underprivileged children, for example.
