Why the world will not end on 2012?

Well, the world ending in 2012 was some superstition, the Mayans wrote a calendar for every year before 2012. The world ending was some big joke because the Mayans didn't make a calendar for 2012, so people thought that that's when the Mayans thought the world was going to end.
