How is make a wish foundation funded?

The Make A Wish foundation grants wishes for children of two years and six months up to 18 years of age. In order to be eligible for the Make A Wish foundation the child must be diagnosed with a life-threatening disease. The foundation will grant wishes to the child except those that involve the use of a firearm such as hunting.
