Oregon's DMV has a unique solution: You need to provide a 'descriptive address', such as "Under the west end of the Burnside Bridge", along with a mailing address (i.e. P.O. Box, like General Delivery), and completing a "Certification of Oregon Residency or Domicile". If you live in a motor home, a "continuous traveler" identifying description, etc. Perhaps other states could be persuaded to follow Oregon's example. See the Related Link below for the above described information, under "Proof of Your Oregon Residence Address" - 'Homeless'
In Canada, all you need to do is speak to a councilor at any men's mission, Salvation Army or the like.. they will guide you through the process... you will be required to sign an affidavit and your address will be that of the respective resource you utilized, eg. The men's mission or Salvation army.
