5 Do you think government should consider human rights when granting preferential trading rights to countries?

We may be on the way to ending preferential trading, and end the practise of trade restrictions completely.A barrier to trade such as a tariff lowers the income of any producer forced to lower their prices to get past that hurdle.

It does nothing to raise prices within the importing country as long as there are competing countries with no tariff to pay.Individual consumers may wish to impose their personal embargo, and many will. But some will not. We vote with our pocket book. But what we accomplish if anything is best accomplished by making the country dependent on us and let them understand what may be restricting their sales or purchases.When we need something, no matter human rights, we buy it. When we need the sale, same deal.
