How many dinosaurs are still living?

Over 500 genera, and over 1,000 species of dinosaur have been discovered (excluding birds, which are considered to be dinosaurs by many scientists). It is believed that this is only a fraction of the species of dinosaur that actually did exist, however, and that many species either left no fossils or their fossils have not yet been found.
