Why wasn't Claire Holt in season 2 ofH2O?

Claire Holt did not return for season 2 of "H2O: Just Add Water" due to a combination of scheduling conflicts and her decision to pursue other opportunities. She had originally planned to continue in the role of Emma, but ultimately, the producers decided to write her character out of the show. Instead, the series introduced a new character, Bella, played by Indiana Evans, to fill the gap left by Emma's departure.
