How many The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy movies are there?

Just one. The books are much, much better than the film.

Douglas Adam was writing the screenplay but he died in 2001. The rest of the screenplay was then written by Garth Jennings and Karey Kirkpatrick.

The film is dedicated "For Douglas".
