What is the ice called that covered Canada called?

The ice that covered Canada during the last Ice Age is referred to as the Laurentide Ice Sheet. This massive glacier extended over much of northern North America, including Canada, and shaped the landscape through processes of erosion and deposition. It played a significant role in the geological and ecological development of the region.
