How did Princess Diana have courage?

In my opinion, the most courageous thing that Diana ever did was to leave a bad, but extremely public, marriage.

To know that the world is tuned in and ready to scrutinize your every move and cameras trained on your every flaw that your have (both real and imagined), but still have the courage to break out of the marriage and pursue happiness was extremely brave.
