What makes women turn lesbian?

Quite frankly, no one knows. There have been numerous studies with the intent of proving that homosexual behavior is the result of some genetic component, yet all have failed: no genetic component has ever been linked to homosexuality. Others still have attempted to make the case of a congenital link, yet none has been identified.

Sexual attraction does not rise until early puberty, or slightly before. So the liklihood of a genetic component, while possible, is almost as unlikely as a conginital element. What that leaves is choice.

There are far too many emotional and psychological components linked to sexual orientation for any one simple, all inclusive answer to this question, beyond of course: lesbians are attracted to other women because they choose to be.
