  1. Turn off power to the thermostat at the circuit breaker.

  2. Remove the cover of the old thermostat.

  3. Note the wire connections and their corresponding terminals.

  4. Disconnect the wires from the old thermostat.

  5. Remove the old thermostat from the wall.

  6. Install the new thermostat base and connect the wires to their corresponding terminals.

  7. Attach the new thermostat cover.

  8. Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.

  9. Program and set the new thermostat according to the manufacturer's instructions.
