What kind of gearbox oil in a Yamaha banshee?

Transmission Fluid from the auto parts store works the best in my banshee, I buy type F whenever possible but have used dextron/mercon with same results. I have used trans fluid in my motor bikes since 1976. All my bikes shift flawlessly and have never had any trans or clutch problems..
