Should boys be stable-hands

Boys and girls alike can be stable-hands, and this is good work-it builds muscles and most people who work around horses are nice people, so you would have good company. If you do not like horses, this is probably not the job for you, but you could try it-you might grow to like them, or at least tolerate them.
