When is gourami mating season?

Gourami mating season typically occurs during warmer months, often coinciding with the rainy season in their natural habitats. In aquariums, breeding can be encouraged by maintaining higher water temperatures (around 78-82°F or 25-28°C) and providing plenty of hiding spots. Males build bubble nests to attract females, and once a female is ready, they engage in courtship behaviors leading to spawning.
