What is the difference between crisis management and emergency management?

A serious situation or occurrence that happens unexpectedly and demands immediate action, and which can be dealt with existing organizational capacities.

crisis

A single event or a continued occurrence which threat the core of an organization, and can not be addressed with the existing organizational capacities. A crisis has three characteristics that differentiate it from other emergency situation: uncertainty, time pressure and potential for substantial damage.
