Can you marry on animal crossing ds?

It's not possible to marry NPCs, such as villagers and visitors, but it is -theoretically- possible to 'marry' other players... you can buy wedding-themed clothes (cake dress, tuxedo and dress pants, bridal veil, etc) so I suppose it is possible for players only.
