Did Obama say he only met blagoyavich once?

No, it's a fake quote. It was sent around to a number of conservative websites in August 2010, along with some pictures of the two together, with the implication that Obama had lied. Except the president never said he didn't know Rod Blagojevich. In fact, they served in politics together and undoubtedly ran into each other while Mr. Obama was a state senator from Illinois. But they were not close friends, and there is no evidence to support any friendship. I enclose a link to one of the newspapers that fact-checked the quote and found it to be fake.
