Where did the patwin tribe live?

The Patwin tribe primarily inhabited the region of Northern California, specifically in the area around the Sacramento Valley and the surrounding foothills. Their territory extended from the western banks of the Sacramento River to the eastern slopes of the Coast Range. The Patwin were part of the larger Wintun linguistic family and lived in a diverse environment that included grasslands, forests, and riverine ecosystems.
