How many Aboriginal languagea are spoken in B.C.?

British Columbia is home to over 30 distinct Aboriginal languages, which belong to 11 different language families. These languages reflect the rich cultural diversity of the Indigenous peoples in the province. Many of these languages, however, are endangered, with efforts ongoing to revitalize and preserve them.
